This weeks theme we are dealing with one of the darker emotions that sometimes surfaces in times of struggle or when we encounter someone who appears to have something we want or need. Yes Ladies and gentleman we are talking about jealousy, that envy of someone else when they appear to have a better life. But do they really have a better life then you? Think about it they may seem to have everything they want but, are they truly happy? It is all too easy to look at the surface of what we see and make assumptions. Perhaps they are going through a hard time just like you in one. Last week I talked about the world tree and how we are all connected, in times of difficulty it is important to look beyond the surface and reach out to people and make connection. Who knows that one person that you do reach out to may end up changing you life in ways that you have not thought about.
Remember we are one society and we are stronger when we come together for the greater good, there is always someone worse off then you and the simple act of reaching out can make a world of difference to that person. Jealousy and resentment can lead us down a very dark path, one that can lead us to feeling lonely, bitter and angry. So how can we turn pour jealousy in something positive? One way is to look approach that person and get to know them, this can lead to building a connection and friendship that can help you get the help and resources you may need, they may offer insight on how to deal with the situation you find yourself in at the time. At the very least they can offer support to help you through emotionally but they cant if you let your jealousy get the better of you.
